Picking up a new craft- Crocheting

Years ago, Ailsa gave me a little crochet flower she made that I've had hanging in the office ever since. Justine also gave me one as a pin one Christmas that I wear on my orange pea coat, and some crochet needles to help me start crocheting. I never did manage. I tried using books and patterns, like knitting, I thought I would just pick it up. WRONG! Finally, Daphne taught me how to crochet, so we started by crocheting flowers earlier this month. This is our first attempt at reading a free pattern that was a bit complicated and askew.
